Select the carrier

The first step in checking the compatibility of your phone is to select your phone carrier. The options available include:

• AT&T
• T-Mobile
• Verizon
• I Have An Unlocked GSM Phone
• Other / I Don’t Know

If you are unsure what carrier your phone is already compatible with, clicking the fifth option prompts a list of other phone providers for you to choose from. Keep in mind: Tracfone is not compatible with every phone and every phone carrier.

Enter your SIM

After selecting AT&T, T-Mobile, I Have An Unlocked GSM Phone, or another compatible phone carrier, you will be prompted to enter your phone’s SIM number. The SIM card stores a ton of important data on your phone, from contacts and photos to stored text messages and your phone number. The SIM number is simply a list of characters used to identify your phone. You can easily find the SIM number by ejecting the SIM card or in “Settings” on your phone. If your phone does not have a SIM card, there is also the option to purchase a new one from Tracfone.

Enter the IMEI

If you choose Verizon or another compatible carrier, you will be asked to enter your phone’s IMEI or MEID number. Both of these numbers are also used to identify your phone, just like the SIM number. The IMEI and the MEID can be located in your phone’s settings, or by dialing *#06# on your device.

Purchase a plan

If your phone is compatible with Tracfone, all that’s left to do is buy an Activation Kit and find the right service plan that suits your needs. For as low as $15, you’ll receive 500MB of data, 200 minutes of airtime, and 500 text messages for 30 days of service. Looking for something for the long-haul? Opt for a 365-day plan that comes with 1,500 minutes, 1,500 texts, and 1.5GB of data for just $125.00.
